The Egyptian Calendars

It is one of the most important pictures in the ancient Egyptian history since the Pharaohnic period.

This picture is found in Denderah, a place near Luxor.
Outside the circle we will find four double figure of God Hours (God of protection) which represent the four directions of the world.

Also we can see four figure of Goddess Isis which represent the four seasons in the year. If we collect all the figure out side the circle it will be twelve represent the twelve month of the year and if we collect there hands it will be twenty four hands which represent to twenty four hours of the day.

Inside the circle we can see fifty tow zodiacs represent the weeks in the year.

Through the calendar the ancient Egyptians know the time there festivals and feasts…etc
